Nadja Salerno-Sonnenberg
Nadja Salerno-Sonnenberg is an Italian-American classical violinist known for her passionate, emotive performances and fearless stage presence. Born in Rome, she moved to the U.S. at age eight and studied at the Curtis Institute and Juilliard School.
She rose to prominence after winning the Walter W. Naumburg International Violin Competition and has since performed with major orchestras worldwide, as well as at venues like the White House. She is also a frequent collaborator with artists across genres and has led the New Century Chamber Orchestra as Music Director.
Salerno-Sonnenberg is known for her intense expressiveness, technical skill, and bold interpretations that have both captivated and divided critics.
