Yuko Ito
Yuko Ito is a New York-based jazz and Brazilian singer and a certified vocal coach through New York Vocal Coaching. Originally from Tokyo, she has performed across genres including jazz, Brazilian music, pop, rock, gospel, and free jazz. After founding an all-girl rock band in Japan, she relocated to New York in 1994 to pursue jazz, earning a B.F.A. in Jazz Vocal Performance from City College of New York, studying with Sheila Jordan.
Yuko has performed at leading NYC venues and collaborated with renowned artists. Known for her fluent Portuguese and unique interpretation, she blends jazz phrasing with Brazilian rhythms to create a distinct, mature sound.
